Caribbean Hibiscus started in 2020 during the beginning of Covid. Our Owner and Creator Zoi Wiley is an avid traveler & restaurateur who spent 4 years living in Trinidad and opening a restaurant while immersing in the culture of the island. In 2016 upon moving back to New York, she began giving Sorrel away free to friends and family for it's health benefits and delicious taste. During this time she was searching for the perfect space to open a restaurant to be named after her father and make her Sorrel the star drink for the menu.
In 2020 after the passing of her father, Dorsey, she closed on a restaurant but due to Covid shutdowns, was forced to change direction and decided to invest into making this much desired beverage full time. She acquired a warehouse and transformed it into a fully licensed Bottling facility, refined the recipe and currently distributes Nationally and Internationally through in house distribution (The Dorsey est 1943) , which her Dads face sealed on every bottle in Gold.
